Home Team BBQ and Swig & Swine Raise $100,000!

Pitmasters Aaron Siegel and Taylor Garrigan of Home Team BBQ and Anthony DiBernardo of Swig & Swine BBQ not only share a passion for smoked meats and the Lowcountry BBQ business but are also dedicated to giving back to families battling pediatric cancer. The restaurants are known for their collaboration on community events and fundraisers such as Holy Smokes BBQ Festival in November and Home Team BBQ’s annual Rock The Block event in February.

They gathered with their partners, Joe Norton and John Davis, to present Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston with a donation of $100,000 for our families. “From the early days at Home Team BBQ, we have turned our focus towards giving back to our community. It’s all about supporting the folks who support us. It feels really good to spread the love and support of families in need,” said Aaron Siegel.

The Holy Smokes group was also in attendance to present the check to RMHC Charleston and were thrilled to see the funds making a difference for local families. “To be able to visit the Ronald McDonald House and see the money that we raise being put to work to help make a family’s tough situation just a little bit better means more than I can put into words,” said Anthony DiBernardo. Holy Smokes BBQ Festival will be returning for its 4th annual event on Saturday, November 9th at Riverfront Park to host over 5o of the country’s most renowned pitmasters and chefs.
