There’s nothing quite like the Holy Smokes BBQ Festival, where the heart of Charleston beats with a deep love for smoky, savory BBQ and an even deeper commitment to community. Hosted by beloved local BBQ joints, Home Team BBQ and Swig & Swine, this year’s festival welcomed barbeque enthusiasts from near and far to savor exceptional dishes, celebrate Southern culture, and raise money for two incredible causes; RMHC Charleston and Hogs for the Cause.

Held under clear blue skies, Holy Smokes brought together over 50 talented pitmasters from across the country, each ready to showcase their expertise and unique flavors. The event celebrated every aspect of BBQ culture, featuring a mix of mouth-watering meats, creative side dishes, and an impressive array of sauces. In addition to the food, Holy Smokes provided a lively festival atmosphere with local vendors, live music, and an outpouring of community spirit. Volunteers were essential to making the event seamless and enjoyable for everyone.

One of the festival’s standout qualities was its commitment to giving back. The generous collaboration among pitmasters, volunteers, and sponsors demonstrated a powerful dedication to supporting families in need. Our House and Hogs for the Cause are both organizations that work tirelessly to support families dealing with critical health challenges.
