10 Dec Bobby Hartin’s Radiothon
The magic of the holiday season is often found in the generosity of others, and this year like so many years before, that magic was on full display during Bobby Hartin’s Annual Radiothon for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston. Hosted by Bobby Hartin on ESPN Radio 98.9 FM, the Radiothon united our community in support of families in need, raising over $24,000 for the House!
For years, Bobby has been a steadfast supporter of RMHC Charleston, using his platform to rally the Lowcountry in support of our mission. Each November, his Radiothon shines a spotlight on the importance of keeping families close to their hospitalized child, reminding listeners that the House is more than just a place to stay – it’s a lifeline for families during challenging times.
This year’s Radiothon was no exception, with Bobby’s energy and passion driving hours of heartfelt stories from families staying in the House and listeners who called in to share what other RMHC Houses have meant to them. There were several inspiring interviews from local sports teams, The SC Stingrays and Charleston RiverDogs, the medical community at MUSC, Charleston businesses like Gnosis Freight and HomeTeam BBQ, and volunteer groups such as Girls That Girl Charleston. The voices heard on the airwaves underscored just how much of an impact the House has on those we serve.
Thanks to Bobby Hartin and the community’s generosity, the $24,000 raised will directly support the families who rely on RMHC Charleston.
The need for support doesn’t end with the Radiothon. If you’re inspired by Bobby Hartin’s efforts, there are many ways to get involved:
- Make a donation to RMHC Charleston
- Volunteer your time to cook a meal, help with events, or assist around the House
- Spread the word about our mission and encourage others to support RMHC Charleston
Together, we can continue to make a difference for families who need it most. Thank you for being part of our RMHC Charleston family this holiday season and beyond!
