The Hoffmans’ Story

In June 2025, after navigating an extremely rare and high-risk monochorionic triamniotic pregnancy, Tyler and Gage received the greatest gift imaginable: their triplet boys – Asher, Briggs, and Cameron. Born at just 29 weeks and weighing only 2 pounds each, the boys entered the world tiny, fragile, and needing around-the-clock care. What was supposed to be a joyful season quickly became one filled with uncertainty and long hospital days.

With the triplets admitted to the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) at MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital, their family suddenly found themselves far from home in Conway, South Carolina, having to juggle recovery, worry, and the reality of life with three medically fragile newborns. That’s when RMHC Charleston stepped in.

For 66 nights, our House became their steady foundation – a place where they could sleep just steps away from their babies, share meals without the pressure of cooking, and simply breathe between the highs and lows of the NICU journey. They found more than a room; they found comfort and connection in a community that showed up for them every single day.

Tyler shared, “I am forever grateful for the housing, food, support, and love from every single staff member and volunteer. I not only had a place to stay, but I also felt that I had created a new family. RMHC Charleston is amazing and will always hold a place in our hearts.

Each small victory, like ounces gained and tiny hands gripping big fingers, the Hoffmans celebrated with people around them cheering the boys on. Today, Asher, Briggs, and Cameron are thriving. They’re growing stronger every day and settling into life at home with their parents and their proud big sister.
