23rd Annual McDonald’s – Dr Pepper Charity Golf Classic

The sun was shining, the swings were strong, and the support was overwhelming at the 23rd Annual McDonald’s – Dr Pepper Charity Golf Classic, presented by Crews Subaru. Held at the iconic Ocean Course at Kiawah Island, this event was more than just a golf tournament – it was a day of purpose, passion, and powerful community impact.

This year’s tournament was one for the books. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, golfers, donors, and volunteers, we are thrilled to announce that we raised over $400,000 to support families with critically ill children staying at RMHC Charleston. Even before the first ball was teed up, our Pre-Party set a new record, bringing in an amazing $280,000 through our online and live auction!

From the moment guests arrived, the day was filled with unforgettable experiences and thoughtful touches. At the Pre-Party, Chris Crosby provided the perfect soundtrack and Duvall served a delicious meal at the Sandcastle. The following day at the tournament, players were greeted with top-of-the-line Maui Jim sunglasses, refreshing drinks from Frozen Down South, and a warm welcome from our friends at Cigars of Charleston. High Rise Beverages kept things cool on the course with their signature treats, while Fly-In Helicopters ball drop added an extra dash of excitement, and Anchor Sign helped make sure every detail looked flawless from tee to green.

Of course, this event wouldn’t be possible without the continued support of our title sponsors, McDonald’s and Dr Pepper, whose long-standing commitment helps us keep families close to the care they need, free of charge. Every swing, every auction bid, and every sponsorship helps us provide warm meals, a cozy bed, and compassionate care for thousands of families each year.

To everyone who played, donated, volunteered, or simply shared our mission – thank you. You’re helping RMHC Charleston be a beacon of hope for families during some of their most challenging times.

We can’t wait to see you next year, as we raise the bar – and our hearts – even higher.
