13 Jan Santa’s Escort Ride

This past holiday season, the magic of Christmas came alive at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston, thanks to our annual heartwarming Santa Escort Ride with the Charleston Police Department. It was a day filled with joy, generosity, and the true spirit of community.
With sirens wailing and lights flashing, the Charleston Police Department led Santa and Mrs. Claus in a festive motorcade, escorting them safely to the House. The excitement was palpable as children and families eagerly awaited their arrival. The sleigh may have been replaced by a police car, but Santa’s mission was the same – to bring smiles and holiday cheer to everyone he met.
This special day wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of the Charleston community. Local residents and organizations donated an abundance of toys, ensuring that each child staying at the House received a gift to brighten their holiday season. Santa and Mrs. Claus personally handed out them out.
The festivities didn’t end there. Families were invited to take photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, creating precious memories to cherish for years to come. Sweet treats and holiday goodies added an extra touch of delight, as families, staff, and officers gathered to share laughter and celebrate the season together.
At RMHC Charleston, moments like these highlight the power of kindness and the strength of community. We are deeply grateful to the Charleston Police Department for their partnership and to every individual who contributed to making this event so magical.
