The love you get is equal to the love you give
To many, a pop tab is just a piece of aluminum with one purpose – To open a can. But to the Ronald McDonald House of Charleston, the pop tab is a valuable resource. Why? Collected pop tabs are recycled; generating much-needed funds to support the House and more than 800 families that we serve each year.
Thanks to the dedication of thousands of school children, families, businesses, churches and service organizations, funds have been raised through this program since 1996! We have recycled over 180,000,000 pop tabs! Money generated through recycling pop tabs helps play an important role in keeping our doors open.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
People of all ages can participate in supporting the Ronald McDonald House by collecting pop tabs. Many schools support this project because it is easy and helps teach valuable math and recycling lessons. Families, churches, service organizations and businesses also participate as a way to show their support of the Ronald McDonald House and the families we serve.
HOW DO YOU GET STARTED?
It’s easy. There is no registration required. Simply remove the pop tab from the aluminum can and put them in your favorite collection container. Its that easy! RMHC Pop Tab Stickers are available at the House or online here.
