Wish List

RMHC Charleston is a House with the same needs as any other house. We maintain a wish list of items from linens to cleaning products to foods. Any item that is donated is one item that we do not need to purchase. Each donation furthers our mission to provide a home for families of seriously ill children.

In-Kind Donations

Whether you’re providing toiletries, holiday or educational toys, fresh linens and pillows; offering free haircuts or chair massages; or power washing the House, our in-kind donors help families every day. 

Seasonal Drive

Throughout the year, we rely on community supporters to collect and donate much-needed supplies!

• Comfort & Joy for the holidays: Our popular end-of-year drive engages companies and individuals to collect holiday toys and goods to make the holidays a little brighter for families who can’t celebrate at home.
• Comfort & Clean this spring: Everything that makes your house a home we need to provide for 32 families, 365 days a year. That’s a lot of sponges, sheets, and supplies!

Assemble Care Kits

Creating care kits for families is a great way to team up with your co-workers and friends.
Remember: All items must be new and unwrapped with original tags and packaging.

• Comfort Kits offer families a variety of arts and crafts, travel games, or activity items for all ages. These items must be new and in their original packaging.

• Toiletry Kits help families meet basic needs and are instrumental in helping them feel comfortable and relaxed during stays at our House. We are in constant need of travel-sized items packaged in clear baggies. Hotel-style shampoos, conditioners, soaps, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and deodorants are welcome.

• Snack Packs offer families opportunities to grab quick (but important!) bites on the way to the hospital. Individually packaged, non-perishable snacks are always needed. Pretzels, fruit snacks, granola bars, cookies, chips, and small waters/drinks make for great snack packs!

• Seasonal Holidays like Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and more allow us to create gift baskets to help families celebrate special occasions and school breaks throughout the year.

• On The Go Meal Kits provide an easily transportable lunch for families who don’t have enough time, funds, or energy to prepare a quick meal before heading to the hospital.  See guidelines here.
