Our 30th year celebration campaign has begun! The RMHC of Charleston was built 30 years ago as a 12 bedroom house to help families of seriously ill children and today has grown to a 27 bedroom house that is always busy! To celebrate 30 years of helping families we are starting a year-long campaign promoting a message: WEAR RED SHOES!
Wearing red shoes has become a symbol for supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities everywhere, as Ronald McDonald wears big red clown shoes.Wearing red shoes is a symbol for joining others to make a difference to families of seriously ill children.
Throughout the year 12 different local celebrities with be featured on billboards around the Charleston area wearing Ronald’s Big Red Shoes. The 1st billboard, pictured above, went up on January 30th, 2013 and portrays local supporter and celebrity Darius Rucker. The billboard is on I-26 right before the Cosgrove Exit heading towards Columbia. Each month a new billboard will be displayed, so keep an eye out for our red shoes celebrities!
